On 11 January we will have the pleasure of handing over the trophies to the two winners of the 2020 Innovation Awards Roullier in Plant Nutrition and Animal Nutrition. Despite the current health situation which will not allow us to celebrate the event as we would have wished, we will still be organising an award ceremony in strict compliance with public health recommendations.
Our two international juries reviewed over 100 projects covering the following topics chosen by experts from the Centre Mondial de l’Innovation Roullier in association with its subsidiaries: soil fertility and plant nutrition, soil management and climate change, biodiversity and soil functions, for the Plant Nutrition category; mineral nutrition and nutrient availability, gut health and immunity, and animal welfare for the Animal Nutrition category. Projects were evaluated on the basis of various criteria: scientific excellence, originality of concept and finally industrial scalability.
Universities and research centres from over 30 countries participated in this competition, which speaks volumes for their enthusiasm for it. The winners will each receive a €75,000 grant and the opportunity to further develop their research projects over a period of twelve to eighteen months, in collaboration with the Centre Mondial de l’Innovation Roullier and our subsidiaries.
By promoting these major partnerships that are dedicated to seeking solutions to agricultural challenges, the Innovation Awards Roullier express the desire of the Groupe Roullier and its subsidiaries to support all its clients worldwide, farmers as industrials, in achieving efficient, sustainable agriculture that exists in harmony with the regions in which it takes place.
We are truly excited to be able to actively support these innovative research projects and we look forward to meeting you on 11 January to see the winners on video!
